Here’s a quick and dirty note about two separate deals that could net you 200K miles:
Part one is the return of the British Airways card from Chase that can earn you 100k Avios points after hitting a series of spending tiers:
- You will get 50,000 bonus Avios after you make $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening
- 25,000 bonus Avios after you make $10,000 in purchases within the first year of account opening
- Plus an additional 25,000 bonus Avios after you make an additional $10,000 in purchases also within the first year of account opening
Together that’s 100,000 bonus Avios, which is enough for a round-trip business class award flight. Taxes, fees and carrier charges apply.
I wrote about the BA card in my last post, which is worth reading if you’re interested in this one.
The second part of this quick-and-dirty is the trio of Citibank Aadvantage cards. I’m not sure if you could get away with applying for all three at once, which would net you 150k AAdvantage miles after you met all the spends, but with decent credit you have a good chance of getting at least one of the personal cards and the business card if you apply for both simultaneously. There have been a few different offers floating around, and The Points Guy does a great job of consolidating all the info.
One more thing for today is that this is the last day for the US Airways Buy Miles 100% bonus program. Actually, the US Airways site says that today is the last day, but Dividend Miles members received an email saying that they program will be in place through December 7th. This is a great way to top off your account, and at the moment, buying points at this rate and then redeeming them for off-peak business class rewards is an excellent deal.
Sorry there haven’t been more updates, but other projects have had me on my heels. I’ll do my best to keep the most important info coming your way…
